We tend to overlook the powerful energies hiding right in plain sight where we already live. ⁣
⁣
We think that we need to travel to the well known power spots in other parts of the world to experience the magical power of nature. ⁣
⁣
But those places only feel that way because humans have been tending them for so long. ⁣
⁣
If we pick a spot to tend in our own town, we invite the Spirits of the Land to co-create the magic with us. ⁣
⁣
To amplify the energies already present. ⁣
⁣
The more we tend and offer, the more nature spirits will congregate and do their own tending and offering. ⁣
⁣
The energy will be amplified many times over. ⁣
⁣
And now you have your own sacred spot that you don’t have to travel around the world to visit. ⁣
⁣
Plus, everyone in your community benefits from it, whether they know what you’re doing or not. ⁣
⁣
There are many ways to partner with the Spirits of the Land for healing work. ⁣
⁣
And this is one of the simplest. ⁣
⁣
Find a spot in your town to tend and see the magic unfold for yourself.

They speak telepathically with every other being they come into contact with - the trees, plants, animals, rocks, soil, and fungi.⁣
⁣
They chat in feelings, emotions, pictures, colors and vibes.⁣
⁣
And we humans aren’t taught to communicate that way.⁣
⁣
So, if we don’t see a spirit walk right up to us and speak in words we can understand, we think they’re not talking to us at all.⁣
⁣
Or we think we must be making it all up.⁣
⁣
But that’s not true.⁣
⁣
We ARE getting it.⁣
⁣
And once we understand how the messages flow to us, we’ll notice that they’ve been talking to us all along.⁣
⁣
Have a song pop into your head in a particular location?⁣
⁣
There’s probably a message in the lyrics being sent your way.⁣
⁣
Suddenly get nauseous when you walk into a home?⁣
⁣
It’s the energy hitting you like a ton of bricks.⁣
⁣
When we use our senses and emotions to read the landscape, a whole other world opens up.⁣
⁣
And we’ll see that the Spirits of the Land have been calling out to us.⁣
⁣
But what do you do next, once you know that you’re being called to work with these spirits?⁣
⁣
It’s all about partnership.⁣
⁣
When we team up with the Spirits of the Land to do the healing work they’re asking for, that’s when the energy can truly transform.⁣
⁣
They’re acquainted with all of the energies present on the land and activities that have occurred there - backwards and forwards in time - and they know what’s needed to resolve any issues.⁣
⁣
If they’re asking for your help, it’s because they know that you have the ability to help them!⁣
⁣
Sometimes it’s as simple as holding space while the spirits perform a ceremony.⁣
⁣
Sometimes they’ll give you a task to do.⁣
⁣
And sometimes they’d like your assistance with energy work.⁣
⁣
But every time, they will walk you through it.⁣
⁣
When the old energy has been healed and transmuted, you’ll begin to see the physical manifestations of that work.⁣
⁣

But if you’re going to do land healing work, sending love and light just isn’t going to cut it.⁣
⁣
Now, don’t get me wrong.⁣
⁣
Love and light is great.⁣
⁣
As is reiki.⁣
⁣
Or source energy.⁣
⁣
Or toning or playing a singing bowl.⁣
⁣
I do all of those things myself, when it’s what’s needed.⁣
⁣
But if you walk into a house or onto a piece of land and know that something just isn’t right...⁣
⁣
Or experience the trees, plants, and spirits in that location asking for your help.⁣
⁣
Sending good vibes isn’t what they’re asking for.⁣
⁣
They want you to help perform surgery.⁣
⁣
They’re asking you to partner with them on healing work that will create lasting change.⁣
⁣
Think of it this way...⁣
⁣
If you fell down and hit your head and had a giant, bleeding gash on your forehead, you would go to the emergency room to have it properly cleaned, stop the bleeding, and get stitches.⁣
⁣
If the doctor walked in, saw your bloodied face, dabbed on some ointment and walked away, you’d be confused.⁣
⁣
You don’t need salve.⁣
⁣
You need stitches.⁣
⁣
The salve would be great afterwards, as the wound was healing, but first you have to actually repair the damage.⁣
⁣
And that’s what the Spirits of the Land are asking us to do in places that have experienced deep wounding.⁣
⁣
Surgery first.⁣
⁣
Salve second.⁣
⁣
And the absolute BEST part about partnering with the spirits to do the work is that they will walk us through what needs to be done.⁣
⁣
You don’t need a decade of medical school to do this kind of surgery.⁣
⁣
Just an understanding about how energy flow gets disrupted and how it can be healed and restored.⁣
⁣
The spirits know what need to be done, they just need someone in physical form to help the healing work take hold in the physical world.⁣

And that someone can be you!⁣
⁣
At least...they hope it will be you.⁣

The Spirits of the Land here have asked for these regular offerings and I enjoy creating for them. ⁣

In return, they offer me words of wisdom and healing energy. ⁣
⁣
When I look at the photos I’ve taken over months of “feeding” the spirits here, I can see the energy come alive right before my eyes. ⁣
⁣
When we tend the energies, whether in our own backyard or a neighborhood park, we are inviting them to enliven the places they inhabit. ⁣
⁣
Find a spot in nature that you can tend and watch the magic unfold ✨⁣

The Spirits of the Land are asking me for a deeper commitment.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
They’ve only asked this of me once before, just after the seven portals on my property opened.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
They asked me for the first time then to be in service to this work. ⁣
⁣
Which I agreed to. ⁣
⁣
And it changed my life, as you might imagine. ⁣
⁣⁣
Years have passed and honestly, I had kind of forgotten about that ask the spirits made of me all those years ago.
⁣⁣
Until recently when I could feel it bubbling up again.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I haven’t yet sat down to channel with them on the specifics.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But as I’ve been walking back and forth to the spring each day I started thinking about the idea of commitment versus devotion.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Because it feels like what I do now is much more in devotion than commitment.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So I looked up the definitions of the two words:⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Commitment is an agreement or pledge to do something or the state of being obligated.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But devotion is an act of prayer or the state of being dedicated and loyal.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Which sounds much more like my practice these days.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I in no way feel obligated to the land.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Everything I do is an act of prayer.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I am ardently dedicated and loyal.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If the commitment to my business ever goes away, the devotion to the work will not.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And so, while I sit in this space between what once was and what will soon be, and I feel the tug on my heart to make a new commitment - or rather, a new act of devotion - I have no doubt it will bring another level of beauty and wonder into my life.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I may not know what’s next, but there’s no way I’m saying no to whatever it is they have planned for me this time.
