It’s officially week 11 of my house renovation.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I quit making videos after the first few weeks because I got super overwhelmed by it all.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
The noise.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
The mess.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
People in my space seven days a week.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I didn’t realize how much I need my clean, organized, quiet space to be calm and centered and to feel creative.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
The surprising thing that disrupted me the most these last few months has been the inability to leave the house much.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I’ve needed to be here to let people in, give them instructions, or catch issues before it’s too late.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
And not being able to get out and about every day to see the subtle signs that the seasons are changing, feel the sunshine on my skin, and get the spontaneous downloads that always flow in from the Spirits of the Land when I’m outside has really thrown me for a loop.⁣⁣⁣

So yesterday, I made it a priority to visit a nearby waterfall after we had five inches of rain. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
It was incredible.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
The water was flowing. Spring flowers are blooming.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I was fully immersed in a bonafide Oklahoma rain forest.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Just what my nature-starved soul needed to light my creative spark again.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This morning, in an effort to fully rekindle that spark, I started reading The Artist’s Way and the author talks about how important it is as creatives to “fill the well”.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
The author explains that: “Images trigger the artist brain. Therefore, images fill the well.”⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
In other words, we have to get out into the world and SEE things.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I got my fill of fresh new images yesterday and it did in fact fill my creative well.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣

This may be an unpopular opinion. ⁣ ⁣ But if y

This may be an unpopular opinion. ⁣
⁣
But if you’re going to do land healing work, sending love and light just isn’t going to cut it. ⁣
⁣
Now, don’t get me wrong. ⁣
⁣
Love and light is great. ⁣
⁣
As is reiki. ⁣
⁣
Or source energy. ⁣
⁣
Or toning or playing a singing bowl. ⁣
⁣
I do all of those things myself, when it’s what’s needed. ⁣
⁣
But if you walk into a house or onto a piece of land and know that something just isn’t right…⁣
⁣
Or experience the trees, plants, and spirits in that location asking for your help. ⁣
⁣
Sending good vibes isn’t what they’re asking for. ⁣
⁣
They want you to help perform surgery. ⁣
⁣
Think of it this way…⁣
⁣
If you fell down and hit your head and had a giant, bleeding gash on your forehead, you would go to the ER to have it cleaned, stop the bleeding and get stitches. ⁣
⁣
If the doctor walked in, saw your bloodied face, dabbed some ointment on and walked away, you’d be confused. ⁣
⁣
You don’t need salve. ⁣
⁣
You need stitches. ⁣
⁣
The salve would be great afterwards, as the wound was healing, but first you have to actually repair the damage. ⁣
⁣
And that’s what the Spirits of the Land are asking us to do in places that have experienced deep wounding. ⁣
⁣
Surgery first. ⁣
⁣
Salve second. ⁣
⁣
And the absolute BEST part of partnering with the Spirits of the Land to do the work is that they always walk us through what needs to be done. ⁣
⁣
You don’t need a decade of medical school to do this kind of surgery. ⁣
⁣
Just an understanding of how energy flow gets disrupted and how it can be healed and restored. ⁣
⁣
The spirits know what needs to be done, they just need someone in physical form to help the healing work take hold in the physical world. ⁣
⁣
And that someone can be you! ⁣
⁣
Each time you feel that little tap on your shoulder, they’re inviting you to work with them. ⁣
⁣
Do you feel it?⁣
⁣
If so, put on your (metaphorical) scrubs and ask them how you can help. ⁣
⁣
They’ll be so excited you did. ⁣
